 Maldon Kumamoto, Pacific and Native Oysters from the River Blackwater
Maldon Kumamoto, Pacific (Rock), Blackwater Wild Pacific (Rock), and Native (European or Flat) Oysters are from the River Blackwater, Maldon, Essex, England. These oysters are harvested from over 3,500 acres on the River Blackwater; one of the largest oyster farms in the UK.

Freshness, quality and safety
Once ashore, these oysters are cleaned, sorted and purifed in natural seawater at licensed depuration facilities, in accordance with UK and EU food, health and safety laws. After that, oysters are packed fresh to order and dispatched the same day (Monday to Thursday), for next day courier delivery to addresses in mainland UK. How to store oysters

Maldon Kumamoto Oysters

Texture: Plump, soft and silky.
Flavour: Initially freshly cut grass. Then rich and creamy butter. A sweet watermelon finish.

Maldon Pacific (Rock) Oysters
Grown and harvested from: River Blackwater, Maldon, Essex, England.
Available: All year.
Texture: Firm and smooth.
Flavour: Initially fresh clean sea. Then fresh cut grass. A mild clean finish.

Maldon Blackwater Wild Pacific (Rock) Oysters
Grown and harvested from: River Blackwater, Maldon, Essex, England.
Available: All year.
Texture: Crisp and crunchy.
Flavour: Initially rich cucumber. Then mixed lettuce. A smooth buttery finish.

Maldon Native (European or Flat) Oysters
Grown and harvested from: River Blackwater, Maldon, Essex, England.
Available: Seasonal - September to April.
Texture: Firm and chewy.
Flavour: Initially earthy. Then woody and nutty. A sweet and salty finish.

Established in 1960, and family owned and operated, Maldon Kumamoto, Maldon Pacific (Rock), Maldon Blackwater Wild Pacific (Rock), and Maldon Native (European or Flat) Oysters are responsibly and sustainably harvested from over 3,500 acres of the River Blackwater, Maldon, Essex, England. Maldon Oysters is one of the largest oyster farms and producers of Pacific Oysters in the UK.

The River Blackwater is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and is further protected under the EU Shellfish Waters Directive. Maldon Oysters work with local and EU authorities to ensure that all oysters are responsibly and sustainably managed and harvested, without any adverse impact on the River Blackwater's pristine and nutriuent-rich waters, delicate eco-systems and important salt marshes.

Maldon Oysters are featured on menus at top restaurants and oyster bars in the UK. For example, Greens Restaurant and Oyster Bar, HIX Oyster and Chop House, The Richmond Oyster Bar, Buoy and Oyster, English's of Brighton; and The Bloody Oyster.
