Oysters with Blue Cheese and Whisky
One of our favourite recipes - texture, full flavour, with a sharp finish. 'R18' due to the splash of Whisky!
Prep time 5 mins. Cook time 10 mins
12 freshly shucked oysters, served in their half shells
140g of your favourite blue cheese
¼ cup of panko (bread crumbs)
2 tbsp butter, softened
1 tsp tarragon leaves, minced
A splash of Scotch whisky
Salt and freshly ground pepper
Preheat grill to high setting (180 degrees C).
Mix the blue cheese, panko, butter, tarragon, whisky and seasoning in a small bowl.
Shuck 12 fresh oysters, and place them on the simplyshuck Oyster Tray.
Spoon the mixture equally over each oyster.
Bake the oysters until the mixture bubbles and starts to brown, approx 10 mins.
Serve on the same tray.
