Isigny Pacific Oysters are cultivated and harvested from a wide area of inter-tidal waters at the Bay of Veys, Normandy, France. 

Isigny Pacific Oysters benefit from nutrient-rich waters carried by four separate rivers that flow into the Bay of Veys Estuary, as well as the fast tides at the Bay of Veys Estuary.

Freshest oysters possible
Isigny Pacific Oysters remain at Bay of Veys, from seed until harvested for market.

Once harvested, these oysters are cleaned and purified in natural seawater, packed live to order in boxes, and dispatched from the oyster farm's depuration and dispatch centre (Monday to Thursday), for next day courier delivery to our clients' addresses in mainland UK (Tuesday to Friday).

Store and consume
Store oysters in the fridge and consume within five days from delivery.

Oysters can be consumed raw or cooked.

Established in 1943, and family owned and operated; Isigny oyster farm covers an area of inter-tidal waters at the Bay of Veys ('Baie des Veys'), near the port town of Isigny, Calvados, Normandy, France.

 

The Bay of Veys experiences the highest tidal range in Europe. The Bay of Veys Estuary is fed by four seperate rivers: the Aure, the Douve, the Taute, and the Vire. Oysters have been cultivated and harvested in the nutrient rich waters of the Bay of Veys since the mid 20th Century.

 

Isigny Pacific Oysters take 24 to 36 months to reach market size.

 

Isigny Pacific Oysters are featured on menus at a top oyster bars, restaurants and hotels in France and the UK.

 

A short distance from Isigny oyster farm is the port town of Isigny-sur-Mer (population 3,754) , which is famous for its butter, cream, cheese, and oysters. The d'Isgny family traces back to the Norman conquest of England; and William the Conqueror had military commanders named d'Isigny. In 1924, the town of Isigny was renamed Isigny-sur-Mer.
